Welcome to Layouts4Myspace generator tool ! First of all, thank-you for using this tool. If you are for the first on this page, please spend a little time and read this. You will learn some instructions about how to use this tool, and basics of how to build a killer myspace layout. By far, the most important feature is the fact that now, you have the opportunity of saving, reloading, editing and deleting an unlimited number of layouts. In other words you have a full layout management system at your disposal.
|
First of all, please notice that the background used is the current wallpaper under you accessed this tool.
At this moment you can't change this, the future versions will include the posibility of integrating foreign graphics both for background and tables, contact tables or so.
Each panel contains certain graphic options, I assumed that you are already familiar with them (contact tables, extended network banners, blurbs fundals etc.)
Under [AUXILIARY GRAPHICS] panel you may choose different styles for each object by clicking pick style option
Also you may set opacity (100% - total opacity, 0% - total transparency), font style, size and color. Under [TWEAKS] panel you'll find some common tweaks that can personalize your layout.
[ How to manage your layouts ]
First register and make an account. Provide a functionable email address.
Tweak your layout; background tables, fonts, tweaks, whatever you like; preview and tweak again
Give a name to your layout under saved layout name; then, save it
re-login into your account; for now, you should have the saved layout in your layout list (dropdown list)
there is no limitations for number of saved layouts; from your dropdown layouts list you may select one and load.
Once loaded, all parameters are back in formular, so you may change them, tweak again and:
- save layout with a new name
- save layout with the same name, overwritting the old one from the datebase
or you may delete loaded layout if it is not nedeed any more.
[ Some quick tips ]
the good design key of your layout is blending graphics, images, backgrounds. So choose a theme, a color scheme and stick to it. Try different styles, find the best one for some certain background, and do not forget that sometimes more is less; do not overhead your layout with heavy graphics, animations or some other annoying graphics; leave that to your kids :-) !
make sure that all of your text is visible against background; don't use white table background in combination with a light color for text
the same rule works for headings, so don't pick dark text on dark headings, no matter you use graphics, or uniform background color; that's correct with links, too
do not overset the opacity parameter; the recomanded values are somewhere between 70-90% that gives your tables a nice filigran effect without much disturbance over the clarity of the inside content
if you do not wish an element to appear at all ( background color, graphics, or so) just leave te respective input field empty
do not mix code! using code from different sources is likely not to work together, so if you decided to use a layout generator tool stick with it; but of course, if you are a CSS guru, you may do manually whatever code modification you want
pick the code and insert in About Me textbox from your profile; do not forget that this code is suitable only for myspace sites, so no hi5, xanga, or other layouts.
Important! The guys from MySpace introduced their own layout design tool. The modifications induced by their tool overwrite any CSS settings you made, so the generated code works properly only if you'll clear all settings from MySpace design tool, if you did some before.
Last minute changes... Following your feedback, we implemented the posibility of setting your own graphics under the modules of background, contact tables, blurbs and the rest of the tables ! .. but watch out the copyright issuses arrising from using some other people graphics ! Everytime you decide to use this option an 'user' word will stand for the used style.
And yes, now you have the posibility of setting the heading style either, instead of being forced to use the default one, or not to use any style at all.
Thank-you and have fun !
